The adventure at Rally Turkey goes on for Angelo and Barbara Medeghini , Mitsubsihi Lancer Evo VIII

Angelo Medeghini and Barbara Capoferri with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII of the KOME SPORT Team, continue their adventure in Turkey.

The second leg of Rally Turkey provided 7 SS (150.49 km) always on the high Anatolian mountains. The temperature was approximately 25C, but the sky was partly cloudy and there were some sudden showers, therefore the choice of the tyres was very difficult.

The stages that gave more trouble to drivers and cars were: SS Sylion of 29.58 km, repeted twice, the stage was very rough and twisty, with difficult corners and a fast finish, and the SS Chimera of 16.45 km because early in the morning rained and there were sections of dump mud, mainly in the last 4 km running through a forest.

Some of the SS of today were run at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level.

In SS 12 Angelo Medeghini scored the 4th best time of Group N and in the following stages he tried to maintain a good pace.

Unfortunately due to Angelo Medeghini's sudden indisposition, the Kome Sport team crew was not able to run the last stage of the day. It was nothing to worry too much about, just a tiering after such a demanding leg.

Angelo and Barbara Medeghini will re-start tomorrow with a 3 minutes penalty.

"It is a very nice race and also an adventure for us "said Angelo " We are trying to improve our times. This morning in SS 11 we had a loose puncture but we were able to get to the Service park without changing the tyre. This time we are not scoring points, but we are gaining experience, that is going to be very important for the next races.".

Tomorrow's leg will start at 09.00am from Kemer and will have only two SS, Chimera of 16.54 km and Olympos of 33.35 km (49.80 km of SS). The rally will end in Kemer at 12.55 pm.
