Loix went out of the road in the 9th stage. As he doesn't has reverse gear (damaged on his previous accident in the 7th stage) he lost a lot of time. Makinen and Schwarz spun on this stage but without losing much time. Auriol had a problem with the tyres (miscommunication with the team, so they cut the tyres the wrong way).
