Miguel Campos is prepared
January 19, 2003 - The Rally of Monte Carlo, mythical stage of the World Rally Championship which will dispute its 72nd Edition this year, will count with the presence of the Portuguese Team Miguel Campos/Nuno Rodrigues da Silva, Drivers which will have a semi-official Peugeot 206 WRC at their display enrolled by Bozian Racing. Even though he never raced in rallies with roads covered by ice and snow, with inconstant weather conditions, which may double-cross the tyre choice at any time, Miguel Campos is prepared to face this upcoming challenge, which will represent a new stage of his career.
"In 2004 everything will be different in my career. The Bozian Racing 206 WRC which I will be driving in the World Championship is one of last year's official machines, I rely on my new Co-Driver, Nuno Rodrigues da Silva, and I may only perform two recognition passages in order to take notes and confirm them. I have a hard task in hands and I hope that I can live up to the responsibilities that where trusted to me by Peugeot Portugal and all my Sponsors", referred Miguel Campos.
The Peugeot Portugal driver has a high market value, due to his outcome as European Rally Championship Runner-up, but he is conscient that this participation in the Monte Carlo Rally may help his career. "It's a difficult Challenge that I will face as I have always done. I will commit myself to the top, try to learn fast and improve my time in the second passages. The only stage that I am familiar with is Turini, which I have practiced for the Rally D'Antibes, but was cancelled during the race. Otherwise, I do not know the other stages where the Rally will be held. That is the reason why I must take on a tactical race, augmenting the pace as I gain confidence. I am anxious to participate in my first Monte Carlo, one of the most carismatic World Championship Rallies."
Even though he was given the number 62, Miguel Campos will take the Peugeot 206 WRC with the Silver Team colours, to be the 14th car on the road during the first stage.
