Junior WRC - With the Citroën crews
Kris Meeke/Chris Patterson, fastest time.
Daniel Sordo/Marc Marti, second fastest time
First one-two of the C2 Super 1600 in JWRC.
SS6 and 7
On stage 6 'Toudon/St Antonin' - which was stopped after François Duval's accident and neutralised after Armin Schwarz went off
K. Meeke and D. Sordo were given the same notional time as the other Junior competitors.
K. Meeke, fastest time.
D. Sordo, 7th fastest time.
D. Sordo, fastest time
K. Meeke, 7th fastest time - a spin just after the start .
The Citroën drivers set the fastest times in the three stages actually run.
At service, the dampers and the front brake discs were changed on the two cars.
K. Meeke, deuxième :
"Great ! Happy ! Happy to be here as the last stage was difficult. We spun there and hit something. We lost around 15 or 20 seconds but we had to keep the pace and the concentration. We were second 13,3 s behind the leader before that stage and still 13,3 s behind the leader at the end of the leg. We won't change anything tomorrow in our rhythm This second place and eight points would really make me satisfied. I would have signed for such a result before the start. What's also very good is to know the car is that efficient and that we will still have a lot of evolutions coming ..."
D. Sordo, sixth :
" It was a weird day : one stage in the morning and the second one run after two neutralisations late in the afternoon. I'm very, very happy we won the last stage of the day, where the end was extremely slippery. The team is also very motivated even if we had some problems at the start yesterday. We are lying in sixth tonight with a perfect car. We'll see what we can do tomorrow."
