Marcos Ligato keep showing his talent around the World Rally Championship. Already in the World Junior Championship or in the Production Car WRC.

Ligato disputed in the Rally of New Zealand his first entry in the 2003 Group N Championship. Remember that he didn`t race in the Rally of Sweden, season opener of the championship.

The Argentinian driver, who runs with a Mitsubishi Lancer of the Italian team Top Run finished third in the race but he took the points of the secon position because second was the native driver Cody Crocker who doesn`t add points for the championship.

This is a very important result for Ligato who won the Rally of Mexico, a month ago, not valid for the world championship.

The Japanese Toshi Arai took the victory giving Subaru an amazing result in the Group N. The winner took 4h. 03`30`` to complete the 402 km. of speed divided in 22 SS. leaving behind Ligato by 2`10``.

Ligato, the only driver who runs the World Junior Championship and Production Car WRC is third in both with 8 points in each one.

"We are very happy with Rubé García (co-driver) because we completed a difficult race for us. Only with the extraordinary capacity and the big talent of the Agnello brothers and all the mechanics in the Top Run we could dream with a result like this. They worked in a fantastic way. We didn`t try to be faster bacause the car wasn`t 100% after the race in Mexico. I would like to congratulate Arai for this victory, very important now that is Subaru and Mitsubishi fighting in the Group N. Besides the next race will be the Rally of Argentina where I owe the victory in front of my people. The 2003 is a very important season to me, all thanks to the Agnello brothers and the people of Fiat Italy", said Ligato when he arrived to Auckland.
