The news has been revealed by FFSA on Friday.
The French Motor Sports Federation has confirmed Corsica will return to the World Rally Championship this year.
France was looking for a new venue for its rally after Strasbourg, which has hosted the event since 2010, lost its financial backing by the Alsace region.
On Friday, the FFSA revealed Corsica will be back on the WRC calendar for the first time since 2008.
The rally will take place on 1-4 October.
"To renew with the past in which the French event forged its reputation, the route will consist of a succession of very long special stages that will highlight the Haute Corse region and the south of Corsica," said the FFSA in a statement.
The inaugural Tour of Corsica was held in 1956 and was always a part of the WRC calendar since it was created in 1973.
