Two huge names have pulled out of the World RX event in Turkey.
Two of the biggest stars that were expected to compete in the penultimate round of the 2014 World RX championship have decided against it. As reported by Motorsport.com earlier, Ken Block made the call to not travel to Turkey amid safety concerns.
There has been rioting in Istanbul and although it's nowhere near the event, there's also fighting along the southern Turkish border as ISIS continues to launch an assault on key border cities.
Now, we've learned that Tanner Foust has withdrawn from the event as well. Both cited 'personal reasons' in regards to their decision to pull out of the race. Foust won the Finnish round of World RX earlier this year.
"It was a really hard decision and I'm sorry to disappoint the fans but I'm not able to be there this weekend," said Foust. "I am looking forward to having a chance to race in Turkey in the future."
