Hindi Gets New Sponsor, Two Winners Hires Crew Chief By Richard Day While many people leave Las Vegas much lighter in the wallet than when they arrived, Dion Hindi recently left the gambling mecca with a new corporate sponsor. Sam's Town, which has casinos near Las Vegas and Memphis, TN, will sponsor Hindi's team during the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series' 20th Anniversary season. "We're going to be better equipped this year," said Hindi, who received the Vivarin Perseverance Award at the World of Outlaws' 20th Annual Awards Banquet in November. "We learned what it takes to run with the World of Outlaws last year." Hindi will also have a different number and color scheme for his sprint car when he starts his second season with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series. The #18 will be emblazoned on his white J&J sprinter. He also has a new truck and trailer to transport his new car. In other World of Outlaws news, Two Winners Racing has hired former New York sprint car racer Rob Hart as its crew chief. "Rob is familiar with Ford engines, so he will definitely be an asset to our team," co-owner Tom Wimmer said. "He traveled with us at the end of last season." The team also has a new engine builder, a new look and a new sponsor. The Ford engines powering the car will be built by Jack Cornett. The sprinter will still have a familiar flame look, but will be red and new Gold Eagle subsidiary 104+ Octane Boost will be its sponsor. WoO
