WOOSTER, OH (June 14) -- Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series star Jac Haudenschild has joined Susan Wise's #97 racing team and will return to the series at the 18th Annual Eagle Nationals.
"I'm looking forward to racing with this team," Haudenschild said. "They have a good motor program and a good crew. It'll be great running with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series again."
Marshall Campbell, a 27-year veteran in sprint car racing, is the team's crew chief. Ironically, Haudenschild has raced sprint cars for 27 years.
"The Wild Child" also said he's glad the team uses Maxim chassis, Goodyear tires, Kriner engines and Carrera shocks.
"We're excited to have a high-profile driver like Jac who has plenty of experience," said Mrs. Wise, who started her racing career in 1997. "We'd like to have a long-term relationship with him."
Haudenschild, who opened the season in Dennis Roth's #83 Beef Packers Eagle, will make his debut in the #97 at the World of Outlaws Gumout Series' Hartford Speedway event Friday, then race at Wilmot Speedway Saturday.
The 1989 Eagle Nationals is just one of the 37 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series "A" Features "The Wild Child" has won in his career. Although he has only run 14 of the 23 events this season, Haudenschild ranks 18th in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series point standings. He has recorded five top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place run at Pike County Speedway.
