Kinser, Tony Stewart Racing's Bass Pro Shops Team Prepare for WoO Sprint Series Brad Doty Classic, Kings Royal Events

INDIANAPOLIS (July 7, 2008) -- Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) and driver Kraig Kinser are ready to move into one of the most busy times of the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series schedule this week. They'll kick off the "Month of Money" with three key races at two Ohio dirt tracks. On Wednesday, Kinser and company take to the quarter-mile oval of Limaland Motorsports Park (LMP) in Lima, Ohio, for the 20th Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic. Friday and Saturday, Kinser and the WoO Sprint Series return to the high banks of Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, for the 25th Annual Kings Royal.

Wednesday's Brad Doty Classic will feature an additional $10,000 up for grabs, courtesy of the University of Northwestern Ohio, which will offer the "Clean Sweep Bonus" to any driver who can set fast time, win a heat race, the Crane Cams Dash and the A-main. The bonus puts Wednesday's potential payday at $20,000. In his last appearance at LMP on July 6, 2001, Kinser earned a 24th-place finish in All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) Series competition.

Friday and Saturday, Kinser and the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops team will return to the half-mile Eldora Speedway for the 25th anniversary of the historic Kings Royal event. Friday night, Kinser and company will compete in the Knight Before the Kings Royal, which serves as a tune-up for Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale. This year's silver anniversary edition of the event will feature former winners of the prestigious race. Kinser's last appearance at the track, on May 31, 2008, saw him earn a 17th-place finish.

Kinser enters this week's three-race stretch ranked 13th in the WoO Sprint Series standings. In 26 starts, he has earned two top-five and six top-10 finishes.

Kicking off the Kings Royal week at Eldora will be the Ollie's 360 Challenge on Tuesday. Featuring more than 30 of the best Sprint car drivers in the country in winged Sprint car action, the event will see Kinser's TSR teammate, Donny Schatz, take a shot at a $50,000 bonus. Schatz won the first of three Ollie's 360 Challenge events at Sharon Speedway on June 17, making him eligible for the additional prize money if he can win a second of the three events in the series.

Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/Maxim:

After having been on the road for a few weeks, are you and the Tony Stewart Racing team looking forward to racing in Ohio at Limaland Motorsports Park and Eldora Speedway this week?

"It's really nice to have a few days at the shop to regroup and get ready for the 'Month of Money.' We'll be able to build some parts and get the truck reloaded to head back out on the road. It's also great to race close to home. We'll have a lot of family and friends who will come to both Limaland and Eldora this week, so it will be fun to see them. Heading into Limaland on Wednesday, it's been several years since I last raced there. I remember the track and I know a little bit about what to expect for the Brad Doty Classic. Being part of the Outlaw series, you see a lot of race tracks each year and you have to learn to be prepared for anything. I think we'll be ready to go on Wednesday and it would be really cool to win this event, especially with it being the 20th anniversary of the race."

What does it take to be fast at Eldora Speedway?

"At Eldora, you have to have the full package to be fast. The motor has to be good, the car has to be good and the driver has to be on his game. All of the elements have to come together to make it work. Eldora is such a momentum track. You have to really concentrate on turning nice, neat laps and getting your momentum up so it can help you get around the place as quickly as possible."

What would it mean to win the Kings Royal event for the first time this weekend?

"The Kings Royal has such a long history behind it, I would love to be able to win the event and add my name to the list of winners. My dad, Steve Kinser, has won the race six times in his career. Not only does the $50,000 to win add to the race, but it's one of the biggest races of the year and one that every driver wants to win in his career. I would love to be able to put Bass Pro Shops and Chevy in victory lane at Eldora this weekend. It would definitely be the way to kick off the month of money."
