Kinser and Company Roll into Dodge City Raceway Park For World of Outlaws Sprint Series Action
INDIANAPOLIS (June 18, 2008) -- Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) and driver Kraig Kinser head to the heart of the nation for this week's Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series racing action. After almost a week off from competition, Kinser and the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/Maxim team will roll into Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park for the Boot Hill Showdown on Friday and Saturday.
Kinser has made three WoO Sprint Series starts at Dodge City in his career and has earned two top-five finishes at the 3/8-mile facility. While the track is located in the middle of what is considered the true Old West, Kinser and company will look to make it their new stomping grounds. In his last appearance at Dodge City on Oct. 8, 2005, Kinser finished 24th.
In 19 WoO Sprint Series starts this season, Kinser has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes. He is currently ranked 13th in the series championship standings with 2,326 points.
Both nights of the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Dodge City Raceway Park, which is located south of Dodge City just off US 56, will be taped by SPEED. Friday's race will air on June 28 and Saturday's will be shown July 6. Check local listings for air times.

Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/Maxim:
The team has been running much more consistently in recent weeks. What does that do for your confidence as a driver heading into the summer stretch of racing?
"Putting up some solid results and having more consistency has definitely helped us a lot as a team. We've been running a lot better and we've found the handling on the car we were searching for. It was great to start out the week with a fifth-place finish at the Missouri State Fair Speedway last Wednesday and I think we'll be able to have more results like that as we move forward. Now we just need to have some luck go our way."
What's the team's approach to this weekend's doubleheader at Dodge City Raceway Park?
"Our number-one goal is to qualify as well as possible. We're still working on putting ourselves in a position to start at the front each night and, in order to do that, you have to qualify well. From there, we need to run well in our heat race and hopefully get into the dash. It's a lot easier to move forward from the front of the field than it is to come from several rows back. Dodge City has a history of being a track that doesn't see much passing, so we're looking to put the Bass Pro Shops Chevy up front from the beginning."
It's been a while since you last competed at Dodge City Raceway Park. What do you remember about the facility?
"Dodge City is a really nice facility, probably one of the nicest we race at all season. The pit area is paved and that's really cool. It makes unloading, working during the race and loading back up much easier. I am really looking forward to racing at Dodge City this weekend. I've found some success there in the past and I think we can build on that this week. We're looking to continue to move forward in the point standings and to get our first win of the season for Bass Pro Shops and Chevy."
