CHASING VICTORIES
Tony Stewart Racing's Donny Schatz Continues Outlaws Road Show From Southern Ontario to Southwestern Ohio in Armor All Sprinter

INDIANAPOLIS (July 29, 2009) -- The show must go on and tomorrow there is another race. That's been the daily ritual for three-time and defending World of Outlaws (WoO) champion Donny Schatz and the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) team during most of July. This week is no different as Schatz and the Armor All-backed team continues its trek through the Outlaws schedule with stops in Ontario and Ohio to close July and begin August.

Schatz opened the week on Tuesday night at Ohsweken (Ontario) Speedway with his eighth runner-up finish of the 2009 season. He'll return to the cockpit of the TSR No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J again on Wednesday night at Ohsweken before returning to the United States for a Saturday-night event at K-C Raceway in Waverly, Ohio.

Tuesday's race was only the second time Schatz has competed on the 3/8-mile clay oval located in southern Ontario. The results both times have been second-place finishes, and both by the slimmest of margins. In 2007, Jason Sides held off Schatz for the win, and on Tuesday, Jason Meyers' winning margin was less than three-tenths of a second. Wednesday night, Schatz will continue to pursue his 99th career WoO triumph, and nothing would be sweeter than for Schatz to score the victory at Ohsweken, which is located less than 15 miles from Brantford, Ontario, the hometown of Wayne Gretzky, who made the number 99 synonymous with winning.

The return to K-C Raceway on Saturday night offers Schatz the chance to build a two-race winning streak at the 3/8-mile dirt oval located in southwestern Ohio. The Fargo, N.D., resident won the Outlaws' last feature race at K-C in July 2008 and has three career wins in five starts at the track. He won in September 2005 and July 2006 and also finished second in July 2007.

Tuesday's race was the 44th night of action in 2009 for Schatz and the Armor All team. The results include 10 victories, 26 top-five finishes and 33 top-10s. Schatz continues to lead the WoO Sprint Series championship standings with 5,912 points.

Wednesday at Ohsweken, the pit gates open at 2 p.m. EDT, and the grandstands open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the race can be purchased by calling Ohsweken Speedway at (888) 720-7223. For more information on the event, visit www.ohswekenspeedway.com.

Saturday at K-C Raceway, the pit gates open at 3 p.m. EDT, and the grandstands open at 3:30 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the race can be purchased by calling K-C Raceway at (740) 978-6575. For more information, visit www.kc-raceway.com.

Donny Schatz, Driver of the No. 15 TSR/Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J:

Consistency has been the key to your success during your championship run. The past two races, you have qualified in the top-three and had a pair of top-four feature finishes. Do you feel like you are where you want to be right now?

"Honestly, we are about winning races and that's all that matters. I feel like we should have won at Ohsweken (on Tuesday) and I'm going to do everything I can to try and win on Wednesday. In the grand scheme of things, winning is all that matters. The Armor All guys (Rick Warner, Shane Bowers and Eric Prutzman) and I are really working hard to get this Armor All car fast every time we hit the track. We expect to win, and right now that's the only thing that we are going to be satisfied with."

On Saturday, you will return to K-C Raceway. You've raced there five times, and every time you've been a strong contender. Is there something about that track that showcases your strengths more than others?

"K-C is one of those places that almost always gets slick and that's something we've had a good handle on for a while. Any time you can race somewhere like that, you walk through the gate feeling good about your chances. It seems like every time we've raced there I've had a really good car and have been able to control the wheel spin and drive forward. There are a number of guys who do really well there, so we'll have to be on our game if we want to get another win there."
