POST-RACE QUOTES & NOTES:
Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore/J&J for TSR:
"There's nothing like winning in Las Vegas. It was a great effort by the Armor All crew. We set fast time and finished the night by winning the feature. The TSR team (crew chief Rick Warner, crewman Shane Bowers, and Keith Turney) gave me a great car all night and that allowed me to win the race in lapped traffic.
"We had a lot of important people in our pit all night, so it was really cool to win the race and celebrate with all of them. Whether it was Tony (Stewart) and Ryan Newman or the people from Armor All, Chevy and J.D. Byrider, they all came out to see a good show and we appreciate their support.
"Now, we have a couple of weeks off again before we race at Chico (Calif., on March 13-14), so we'll try to pick it right back up when we get there. These TSR guys are proving that they are on top of their game and ready to take on all comers this year. I love the challenges. That is what I am here for."
Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/J.D. Byrider for TSR:
"We were hoping to be battling (TSR teammate) Donny (Schatz) for the win, but never quite made it that far. It's always fun to race out here, but we weren't quite where we wanted to be at the end of the night.
"Qualifying pretty much determined our entire night. We were eighth in hot laps, but came in 13th in qualifying. That's normally not a bad thing, but with only 27 cars, it meant we missed the front row of the heat races. Craig Dollansky was 12th, and he ended up starting the feature on the front row. He beat us in qualifying by .027 of a second. That's how close it is out here right now.
"The Bass Pro Shops team did a good job. We raced with Donny in the heat race, but track position was key. I spent a lot of time racing my dad (Steve Kinser) in the feature and that probably cost me getting closer to the top-five.
"We've got a few weeks off before we race again. The last time we raced at Chico, we had a top-five, so I feel like we can continue running in contention and, hopefully, be in a spot to race for the win."
