WEST FARGO, ND (July 16)-- Sprint car racing fans will want to tune in Thursday night as Speed Channel airs its first Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series telecast.

Cable television's most watched motorsports channel will show highlights of the Duel in the Dakotas preliminary racing programs won by Joey Saldana and P.J. Chesson starting at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.

Saldana waited out a long rain delay and raced past defending Duel in the Dakotas champion Craig Dollansky, Brad Furr, Danny Wood and Danny Lasoski to win his second straight preliminary feature. Lasoski was 1 1/3 laps from winning the second preliminary feature when a flat tire sent him into the retaining wall. Chesson led the final two laps to claim the first feature victory of his Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series career.

Speed Channel will telecast the Duel in the Dakotas finale won by hometown favorite Donny Schatz July 25th.

Speed Channel will also tape this weekend's racing action from Eldora Speedway. Friday's Eldora Clash will be telecast August 15th and Saturday's $50,000-to-win Kings Royal will be aired September 5th.
