ALLEN, TX (October 3) -- As with many other organizations in America, the September 11th terrorist attacks have forced the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series to make some tough decisions. After much deliberation, the series believes it would be more appropriate to replace the usual Awards Banquet with a small Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas following the season finale. "We deeply regret this situation and trust that all will return to normal for the 2002 racing season," series President Ted Johnson said. Attendance will be limited to 200 team members, sponsors, promoters and fans wanting to participate. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series office at 972-396-8810 through October 20th. Dress for the brunch -- scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 4th -- will be casual. The awards will be presented after the meal. The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series has scheduled its annual Promoters Meeting for Saturday, November 3rd, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. WoO
