Outlaws Postpone Grays Harbor Event ELMA, WA (August 18) -- Rain hit Grays Harbor Raceway Park before hot laps Friday evening, forcing Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series officials to postpone the Wild, Wild Northwest Tour event. The series will return to the high-banked, 3/8-mile oval for the preliminary program Saturday, then run the feature program Sunday evening. A year ago, Sammy Swindell won his first Preliminary Feature of the season before defending Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series champion Mark Kinser passed him late in the 27th lap to win his third straight "A" Feature. Swindell has been victorious in five Preliminary Features this year and Kinser has won successive main events, including his third Amoco Knoxville Nationals title. Steve Kinser, who leads the series standings by 199 points over Swindell, is winless in four "A" Features at Grays Harbor. Dale Blaney set Grays Harbor's single-lap record with a 104.191 m.p.h. lap last August 20th. Following the Grays Harbor event, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series will invade Central State Fair Speedway in Yakima, WA, for the first time Tuesday, August 22nd. WoO
