LAS VEGAS, NV (February 28) -- Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series officials postponed the Silver State Shootout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Wednesday when rain made the track unsafe for racing. The $148,575 event will begin Friday and continue through Saturday and Sunday. The pit gates will open at 1 p.m. and the spectator gates at 4 p.m., with the First O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat Race starting at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time Friday and Saturday. Sunday's finale will start earlier, as the pit gates open at 12:30 p.m., the spectator gates at 2 p.m. and the First O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat Race starting at 5 p.m. TNN: The National Network will televise Friday's opening-night racing program live, starting at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. The single-program event at Perris Auto Speedway, which was postponed from February 24th to Sunday, has been postponed indefinitely.
