NEW EGYPT, NJ (July 29)-- The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series rewarded Danny Lasoski show-up points during the Cleveland Brothers Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway after he was injured in a crash Friday.

The defending series champion suffered a concussion when he crashed during the first hot-lap session Friday. He increased his points lead to eight points by winning Thursday's Preliminary Feature, but lost it to Steve Kinser when he was unable to race Friday and Saturday.

Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series rules state that a driver injured during a multi-program event will be rewarded show-up points for the remainder of the event if he becomes physically unable to race. Daryn Pittman received show-up points for both the preliminary and feature programs after being injured in a crash during hot-laps at Hollywood Hills Speedway March 9th.

Lasoski was released from the hospital Monday and hopes to race Wednesday at Sharon Speedway. Johnny Herrera, who drove the #20 J.D. Byrider Eagle into 16th place from outside the 13th row Saturday, will replace Lasoski in the car again Monday at New Egypt Speedway.
