Stenhouse, Jr keeps top tens alive and looks for first top ten with Outlaws.

(April 16th, 2005 Olive Branch, MS) The young fast Phnom, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. kept his top ten finish streak alive with an 8th place finish at Memphis Motorsports Park last night. The Fast Effects Removable decals/Kross Town Cleaners/Musrat Designs/J&J Chassis/Dynotech Racing engines 40R was once again the car to beat but a spin during the feature relegated the youngster back to last on the field. Undaunted, Ricky got the elbows up and went after it and when the green flew he had climbed from 20th to 8th. Not a bad nights work.

"Everyone was running the low line last night." said Ricky, "I tried it and spun and figured the only way we were going to get a good finish was to run where they weren't. I slid the wing all the way back and rode the high line and the car was really fast. Once again Dad gave me great horsepower and the crew had it set up on a rail. I can't wait for next weekend's ASCS show here."

The SBS Motorsports team travels to Haubstadt tonight to take on the World of Outlaws. This will mark the young fast Phnom's first visit to the Hoosier track. Coming off a good qualifying effort at I-55 and advancement to the "A" the High School junior has some confidence built up for tonight.

"It's a tight bull ring." Stenhouse, Jr. commented. "My kinda track. I like the shorter tracks we run it really puts the emphasis on the driver. We proved we have the horsepower to run with these guys at I-55 which is a power track. It's about qualifying and during hot laps it's important that I find that fast line. Jason (Sides) ran here last year and he has given us some tips on what we need from the car. Our goal is to qualify top 12, transfer from the heat to the "A" then stay on the lead lap in the "A". If we can do that with these guys it will be a great night."
