Steve Francis World of Outlaws Late Model Series Smokey Mountain Speedway and North Georgia Speedway Review

(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis rocketed the #15 Mopar and Valvoline sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers and Action Auto Mart Rocket Dodge Intrepid to back to back top-5 finishes during World of Outlaws Late Model Series events at Smokey Mountain Speedway and North Georgia Speedway this past weekend.

Francis, a three time former STARS Renegade DirtCar Series champion, produced a win in the third heat race before taking the April 30th checkered flags at Smokey Mountain Speedway in 5th place.

The Kentucky Colonel made his second and last stop of the season at North Georgia Speedway on May 1st for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series round 11. Francis grabbed the 60-lap A-main pole by securing a win in the dash race after a win in the fourth heat race. Steve rounded out the event in 2nd place.

The Smokey Mountain Speedway and North Georgia Speedway World of Outlaws Late Model Series events for Francis served up duel top-5 finishes preceded by back to back top-5 World of Outlaws Late Model Series finishes the previous weekend (April 23 and April 24) at Lernerville Speedway and Hagerstown Speedway.

Steve is currently 4th in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standings.
