Steve Francis holds strong in World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship chase

(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis will commence World of Outlaws Late Model Series racing this weekend as the Mopar and Valvoline sponsored dirt ace heads towards Pennsylvania and New York for three dates on the WoO Late Model Series.

The three time former Renegade DirtCar Series champion will visit Thunder Valley (PA) Raceway on June 19, then to Orange County Fair (NY) on June 20, and finally Fulton (NY) Speedway on June 21 to round out the three race weekend.

Francis is currently 3rd in the WoO Late Model Series championship point standings, just 45 points out of first place going into this weekend's events. Steve has two series victories at Volusia Raceway (FL) Park and Eagle (NE) Speedway.

Dream 100 Weekend Notes:

Francis finished 18th in the annual running of the Dream at Eldora (OH) Speedway.

Steve finished 5th in the first heat race and 2nd in B-main.

"Our qualifying effort was not that great, so we were pleased with our overall effort. We made our way up through the field in both preliminary events and transferred into the feature. The Dream is always a special event in our sport, and we were pleased to be apart of it again this season," concluded Steve.
