BURBANK, CA (November 20) -- Sixteen-time Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series champion Steve Kinser heads the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association's 2000 All-America team ballot. Kinser has been voted to the first team more than any other driver. "The King of the Outlaws" has been on the All-America team 18 times -- 13 on the first team. He joins USAC Midget champion Kasey Kahne, NASCAR Truck Series champion Greg Biffle, NASCAR Busch Grand National champion Jeff Green, ARCA champion Frank Kimmel and ASA champion Gary St. Amant in the Short Track category.

Former Jerry Titus Award winners Dale Earnhardt (1987) and John Force (1996 and 1999) return to the Stock Car and Drag Racing lists, respectively.

Members of the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association will vote from among six drivers in each category. Two from each category will be on the first team, to be honored January 13th at the annual AARWBA banquet in Pomona, CA. The Jerry Titus Award winner will also be announced at the banquet. The Titus Award, much like college football's Heisman Trophy, honors the All-America team's top driver - the one earning the most votes in the balloting regardless of category.

The balloting will also determine a second team of the drivers placing third and fourth in each category, and honorable mentions to all other drivers receiving at least five percent of the vote. AARWBA members have annually chosen an All-America Auto Racing Team since 1970.
