INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 2) -- World of Outlaws Sprint Series rookie Jonathan Allard will be in Indianapolis Tuesday to have his eyes examined by more doctors, Crew Chief Mike Thurman said Thursday.

"A doctor in Oklahoma City said he saw a spot on his eye, but he can't identify it," Thurman said. "It could be a problem with a blood vessel or his retina; he just can't tell what it is. If it's a blood vessel problem, they can fix it with laser surgery if it's not too close to the cornea. We hope to know more about what it is and what can be done to fix it next week."

Several doctors have examined the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year candidate since he started experiencing night vision problems following a June 2nd crash at Race at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.
