Joe Gaerte Gets a New Ride LAKE TAHOE, NV (July 18) - Joe Gaerte has a new ride - Ed Ulyate's #3DB J&J. Gaerte, who left Hamilton Motorsports following the World of Outlaws' event at Red River Valley Speedway on July 8th, was scheduled to join his new teammates at San Jose Speedway July 22nd. "(Crew chief) Brian Sperry and I agreed to have Joe come out and run some races on the West Coast," said Ulyate, who fielded front- running sprinters at Ascot Park during the 1980s. "Then we'll go to "The Big One" and the Amoco Knoxville Nationals. We'd also like to follow the World of Outlaws through the Northwest and California." Gaerte, the World of Outlaws' 1989 Rookie of the Year, ranked ninth in the Skoal Outlaw Series point standings when he changed rides. "This should be a good deal for me," Gaerte said. "I'm hoping this deal will work out and I can talk them into running the whole World of Outlaws schedule next year." WoO*eof
