World of Outlaws Cancels I-80 Preliminary Program GREENWOOD, NE (May 1) - May Day was definitely not a sunny one in Nebraska. In fact, torrential rains forced Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series officials to cancel the preliminary program at I-80 Speedway Thursday. The World of Outlaws will attempt to salvage its first of two events of the year at the semi-banked, 4/10-mile oval Friday, weather permitting. The series' fire-breathing, mud-slinging sprint car racing teams are scheduled to return to I-80 Speedway September 26-27. Next on the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series' schedule is a $40,000 afternoon event Sunday at Beaver Dam Raceway. Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with the heat races starting at 2 p.m. WoO
