WoO Driver Craig Dollansky Teams Up With Heffner Racing
"Crowd Pleaser" Joins Keith Kauffman for This Weekend's WoO Program
Heffner Racing Enterprises will have two cars on the track for the World of Outlaws show this weekend at Williams Grove Speedway, Williams Grove, PA. In addition to regular driver Keith Kauffman (who has been filling in for the injured Sean Michael), renowned World of Outlaws sprint car driver Craig Dollansky will race a second #27 Lelands.com-sponsored car for the team.
"I talked to Mike [team owner Mike Heffner] and it sounds like he has made a big commitment to sprint car racing, which I appreciate. I look forward to racing with him and the rest of the team," said Dollansky.
Dollansky will compete in the full WoO program on Friday and the National Open on Saturday. He is not eligible, however, to compete in the Summer Nationals. The World of Outlaws Series regular and former GUMOUT Series champion will climb into the seat of Sean Michael's Maxim-chassis (newly-minted the #27c) while Kauffman will remain in his J&J-chassis #27.
Joining Dollansky as he travels from his home base in Minnesota will be long time crew members Mike Woodring and Lester Grove.Sean will also work with the crew to prepare his car for the track. Heffner Racing head mechanic Jim Pasquariello and other crew members will remain focused on Kauffman's car.
Team owner Mike Heffner had planned on racing two cars this weekend (Michael and Kauffman), but was disappointed when Michael's injuries from a crash four months ago flared up again. So it was not much of stretch when approached about putting Dollansky in the car, but an honor nonetheless.
"Once again, I am honored that a driver of such high caliber would be interested in racing for our team. Given this is only our first full season, I am truly thrilled to be working with so many talented sprint car drivers. We welcome Craig and with two cars on the track, we are very excited about our prospects for the weekend," said Heffner.
