TIFFIN, OH (August 18)-The Gumout Racing Series is preparing to once again take on the Pennsylvania Posse. The series will make its second appearance at three of the area's premiere racing facilities.

On Wednesday, August 23, the Gumout competitors return to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Craig Dollansky is hoping for a repeat performance, as he took home the trophy during the series first appearance at Lernerville in April. Dollansky's historical win earned him the title as the first ever Gumout Racing Series victor. Leading the series in points and in most wins for the season, Dollansky is a definite possibility to be standing in Lernerville's Victory Lane again.

The series then travels east to compete at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal on August 24th and 25th. While Fred Rahmer and Don Kreitz took home Gumout wins in early May, the Gumout competitors look for a different outcome during their August trip.

With only 17 races left in the Gumout Racing Series inaugural season, Craig Dollansky leads Jeff Shepard in point standings by a mere 14 points. Following close behind is California native, Paul McMahan who trails Dollansky by 96 points.

Two other Californian's Jason Meyers and Brad Furr are battling for the 2000 Brodix Rookie of the Year title. Ronald Laney, another rookie of the year contender, celebrated his season high finish of third during the series' event at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska.

Three new faces have come aboard since the series last Pennsylvania appearance. Kraig Kinser, son of legendary sprint car driver, Steve Kinser, has been travelling with the series since mid-June and is currently 11th in Gumout Racing Series point standings. Jimmy Carter from Surrey, British Columbia, is currently 12th in the series' point standings. Jason Statler, the series most recent addition hails from Los Gatos, California, making him the series' fourth California-born competitor.

The Gumout Racing Series will next appear with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws on TNN: The Nashville Network on Saturday, September 23rd at I-80 Speedway in Lincoln, Nebraska.
