TIFFIN, OH (August 10)-Following the Amoco Knoxville Nationals, the Gumout Racing Series will make its debut in Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The series will compete at four facilities in six days.

On August 14th, the Gumout Racing Series travels to Eagle, Nebraska to compete on the 1/3 mile oval of Eagle Raceway. From there, the series goes on to make two appearances in Fargo, North Dakota. On Wednesday, August 16th the series stops at River Cities Speedway before appearing at Red River Valley Speedway on August 17th. The final tour destination will be at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota.

Following the action at Southern Iowa Speedway this past Monday, Jeff Shepard has taken over the point lead by four points over Craig Dollansky. Shepard now leads the series in most feature victories with five wins in the 2000 season.

Jason Meyers continues to lead the battle for Brodix Rookie of the Year over Brad Furr and Ronald Laney. Meyers also remains strong in the hard charger department as he earned his eighth KSE Hard Charger Award of the year on Monday.

The Gumout Racing Series is also pleased to announce the addition of two new competitors to the series. Jimmy Carter of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and Jason Statler of Los Gatos, California have recently been competing with the series full time. Both plan to continue with the series throughout the remainder of the season.
