MECHANICSBURG, PA (July 26) -- Danny Lasoski was riding high Thursday when he won for the first time at Williams Grove Speedway. Unfortunately, "The Dude" was riding in an ambulance less than 24 hours later after crashing during the first hot-lap session.

The right rear tire on the #20 J.D. Byrider Eagle exploded as Lasoski entered turn three, sending him into the retaining wall. After he was taken to a nearby hospital, doctors determined Lasoski suffered a slight concussion. "The Dude," who entered the Cleveland Brothers Summer Nationals leading the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series point standings, will miss the remainder of the event as he remains in the hospital for observation.

Johnny Herrera will drive the car owned by NASCAR Winston Cup star Tony Stewart until Lasoski is able to return. The defending series champion hopes to race Monday at New Egypt Speedway.
