Countdown to the VAULT World Finals: 7 Days

Concord, NC-- October 23, 2008--Leading up to second annual VAULT World Finals, October 30-November 1 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina for the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, as well as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, each of the seven drivers that has won an Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series title will be featured for seven consecutive days, chronologically and by the number of titles that they won.

The first driver to be featured will be 20-time Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Steve Kinser, who won the finale of the inaugural VAULT World Finals last season.

Kinser, who was one of the original "Outlaws" during the series inaugural 1978 season, recently won his record 550th A-Feature event, with the series and along with preliminary feature triumphs has well over 800 wins with the series.

He won his first Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship in 1978 and followed that up with titles in each of the next two seasons. Six consecutive championships would follow from 1983-1988. The native of Bloomington, Indiana would rattle off five more consecutive titles from 1990-1994. He would pick up his 15th title in 1998. He would follow that up with another champion in 2000. From 2002-2005 he would pick up titles 17-20.

Kinser won his first World of Outlaws race at the famed Eldora Speedway in 1978. He picked up a record 46 World of Outlaws victories in 1987. The Hall of Fame driver has won 20 or more races 12 times with the series during his career, and has won double digit races 24 times in the 30-year history of the series.

Among the wins in his career are a record 12 triumphs in the Knoxville Nationals. He also has won the Gold Cup Race of Champions a record 12 times. The second generation driver also has four wins in the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway, along with three victories in the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway, as well as two triumphs in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway.

In his career at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Kinser has two wins and has finished in the Top-10 in all 17 of his starts at the semi-banked four-tenths mile. He finished seventh earlier this season at the track and earned Top-Fives in all three starts last season.

The finale of the VAULT World Finals will air live on SPEED beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, November 1. The October 31st portion of the VAULT World Finals will be taped for broadcast and will air on SPEED on Saturday, November 8 at 9 p.m. Eastern.

On Thursday, October 30 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motors Speedway, adult tickets will be $10, with tickets for children 12-under just $5.

On Friday, October 31 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.

On Saturday, November 1 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.
