World of Outlaws Head Back to Charter Raceway Park

The World of Outlaws will return to Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 16 to make up an event that was postponed by rain last month.

There have been 13 A-Feature events contested by the series at the high-banked 1/3-mile, dating back to 1996, with 11 different winners. Eight current World of Outlaws drivers have won at the track. This will be the third and final event of the season for the series in the state of Wisconsin.

In the series first visit of the season to the track on August 3, Jason Solwold earned his first career A-Feature win with the series. The native of Mt. Vernon, Washington led all 40 laps on a wild night that saw the green flag wave five times before a single lap was completed. He heads back to Charter Raceway Park ninth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, on the strength of 36 Top-10 finishes.

Donny Schatz finished fourth last month at Charter, after starting 17th. He was caught up in one of the two red flags that flew before a lap was completed and had to go to the work area where his crew repaired the car. He won at the track in 2002. The reigning World of Outlaws champion currently leads the championship standings on the strength of 15 A-Feature wins. He won at Charter Raceway Park in 2002.

Joey Saldana finished second last month at the high-banked 1/3-mile, after setting fast time in time trials. The native of Brownsburg, Indiana has 11 A-Feature wins on the season, including four wins on 1/3-mile tracks. Through September 12, he has 55 Top-10 finishes.

Danny Lasoski was third last month at Charter Raceway Park. He has five A-Feature wins on the season, including a sweep of the Harvest Classic at Calistoga Speedway in California. He currently is third in championship points on the strength of 42 Top-10 finishes.

Jason Meyers recently moved into the fourth spot in the championship standings. He has four A-Feature wins on the season, to go along with 41 Top-10 finishes. He also has won the Crane Cams Dash seven times to earn the same number of pole positions.

Steve Kinser won at Charter Raceway Park in 2002 and finished seventh last month at the track. The 20-time World of Outlaws champion has nine A-Feature wins on the season. He has 542 career wins through September 12. This season the native of Bloomington, Indiana is fifth in points with 43 Top-10 finishes.

Daryn Pittman is one of just two drivers that has won twice at Charter Raceway Park. He was victorious in 2003 and 2005 at the high-banked 1/3-mile. The former World of Outlaws Gumout Series champion has won four A-Feature events on the season and is just four points out of the fifth spot in the championship standings.

Craig Dollansky has three A-Feature wins on the season, including a $25,000 payday at Skagit Speedway in Washington. He is seventh in the championship standings on the strength of 40 Top-10 finishes.

Paul McMahan finished ninth last month at Charter Raceway Park, after winning the Crane Cams Dash to earn the pole position for the A-Feature. He is currently ninth in the championship standing with two A-Feature wins on the season, including at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin and Eldora Speedway in Ohio, which is owned by his car owner, Tony Stewart.

Tim Shaffer won at Charter Raceway Park in 2004. He continues to close in on his first A-Feature win of the season. The 1999 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year has 19 Top-Five finishes, including five runner-up performances. The native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania was fourth fastest in time trials last month at Charter Raceway Park.

Terry McCarl finished seventh last month at the high-banked 1/3-mile, after turning the seventh fastest lap in time trials. The six-time Knoxville Raceway champion has won twice this season with the World of Outlaws, including at his home track.

Jac Haudenschild has won twice in his career at Charter Raceway Park, including last season. The native of Wooster, Ohio currently has 46 career wins with the World of Outlaws, which have him tied for ninth on the all-time list. He is just outside of the Top-10 in the championship standings.

Jason Sides finished 10th in August at Charter Raceway Park. The 2003 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year picked up his second career World of Outlaws win earlier this season at Ohsweken Speedway in Canada, in the series first event north of the border in over 25 years. He currently has 21 Top-10 finishes.

Kerry Madsen continues to lead the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award. The native of St. Mary's, NSW, Australia finished fourth in the Crane Cams Dash last month at Charter Raceway Park. He won his first career World of Outlaws A-Feature event earlier this season at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.

Randy Hannagan passed 10 cars in the series last visit to Charter Raceway Park last month to finish in the Top-15. The native of San Jose, who now calls Pittsboro, Indiana home finished sixth on Wednesday night at Clay County Speedway to earn his ninth Top-10 finish of the season.

Justin Henderson finished eighth last month at Charter Raceway Park. The second-year driver from Sioux Falls, South Dakota has 12 Top-10 finishes on the season, including two Top-Fives, including a career-best third-place performance at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin, where he led a number of laps.

Chad Kemenah, the reigning World of Outlaws Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year finished sixth on August 3 at Charter Raceway Park, after starting 26th. The native of Findlay, Ohio has 10 Top-10 finishes on the season.

Jeremy Campbell heads back to Charter Raceway Park solidly in the Top-20 in the championship standings. The second-year driver from Monroe, Michigan has seven Top-10 finishes on the season.

Sam Hafertepe Jr. raced his way into the Crane Cams Dash last month at Charter Raceway Park in his first visit to the high-banked 1/3-mile. The native of Sunnyvale, Texas and the reigning American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Sooner Region champion finished a very solid 12th in the A-Feature on August 3 at Charter.

Chad Hillier visited the track for the first time in his career last month. The native of Burlington, Washington is currently third in the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.

Tony Bruce Jr. raced his way into the A-Feature last month at Charter Raceway Park. The native of Liberal, Kansas is currently fourth in the rookie standings.

On Sunday, September 16 at Charter Raceway Park, adult advance tickets will be $30, while the day of the race, adult tickets will be $35.
