What to watch on Motorsport.tv this weekend

Two FIA World Championships star on Motorsport.tv this weekend, as the WEC heads to Mexico City and the Rallycross heroes race in France.

Live across our European networks, the FIA World Endurance Championship begins its globetrotting tour in Mexico, and you can watch all six hours of action live on Sunday.

Courtesy of wins at Le Mans and the Nurburgring, Porsche’s Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber hold a healthy, but not unassailable, lead in the points standings.

Their nearest rivals are Toyota’s #8 crew, but they lost ground on the lead Porsche over the last two rounds due to mechanical problems.

The LMP2 class has been dominated thus far by Jackie Chan DC Racing, with Ho-Pin Tung, Oliver Jarvis and super-silver Thomas Laurent taking three wins and a third to date. In GTE-Pro, Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell lead the drivers’ standings for Ford, but the manufacturers’ standings sees Ferrari, Ford, Aston Martin and Porsche separated by less than 30 points.

We also have live Formula 3.5 V8 races from Mexico, and TCR International action from Buriram across the weekend.

World RX hits Loeb’s home turf

Also live this weekend (in the UK only) is FIA World Rallycross Championship action from Loheac, France, for WRC legend Sebastien Loeb’s home round.

Johan Kristoffersson has scored a hat-trick of wins in the last three races, building up a 35-point margin over PSRX Volkswagen team-mate Petter Solberg.

Loeb sits fourth in the standings – and will be hoping to put on a show for his adoring fans. Two additional drivers join the field in Brittany: Audi DTM racer Nico Muller and Alister McRae, younger brother of another WRC legend Colin, makes his series debut. Don't miss that!
