Webber and Cressoni released from hospital

Both drivers return home after a night in the hospital

Mark Webber and Matteo Cressoni both spent the night in a local Sao Paulo hospital, following a violent accident during the WEC season finale. Both the Porsche 919 and Ferrari 458 suffered significant damage during multiple impacts.

Webber has been diagnosed with a concussion while Cressoni was just kept overnight for precautionary reasons. Both were awake and alert, but Webber has since revealed that he doesn't remember the accident. He recently tweeted about the shunt, admitting that the angle the car hit 'saved him.'

Some of their fellow racers came to vist the two drivers in the hospital, including Rubens Barrichello and Emerson Fittipaldi. Others offered words of support on Twitter.
