ORECA has revealed images of its striking new LMP2 car which will be campaigned by KCMG in the World Endurance Championship and Thiriet by TDS in the ELMS this season.
Both outfits will also take part in the 83rd Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
The concept is based on the LMP1 monocoque run by the Rebellion Racing team in LMP1.
It will use a combination of existing Oreca 03 LMP2 and newly designed running gear.
ORECA chief designer David Floury has been heading up the technical team on the ORECA 05 LMP2 which is built to install the existing Nissan and Judd engines.
A HPD unit can also be housed in the new design but will require significantly more work for installation, believed to be in the bellhousing and cooling areas.
As the image presented allude, the ORECA organization has clear aspirations to race in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship later in 2015.
The organization, which is now in its 42nd year of operation, is planning to open a US office close to Charlotte during this year.
The first Oreca 05 LMP2 Coupe is expected to have a shakedown in southern France early next month before making its public debut at the official Paul Ricard ELMS and WEC tests at the end of March.
