GT drivers Tandy, Lietz, and Pilet test Porsche 919 Hybrid

The three factory GT drivers got a chance to pilot the LMP1 this past week.

Nick Tandy, Richard Lietz, and Patrick Pilet got their chance behind the wheel of Porsche's LMP1 beast this past week.

The Porsche GT factory drivers were driving the 919 Hybrid for the first time at Aragon in a four-day test session. They were joined by the usual suspects ... Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard and Neel Jani. The racers covered 4,284 kilometres between Monday and Thursday.

Fred Makowiecki and Michael Christensen got an opportunity to drive the car last month. "We came here with a long job list - all ticked off. We feel well prepared for the three 6h races in November," said team principal Andreas Seidl. They were pleased with each driver's performance.

Porsche is still seeking their first victory of the 2014 WEC season.
