Gaw joined Prodrive at the beginning of 2011 as managing director for the Aston Martin Racing team and has since overseen significant growth in the racing business. In 2013, Aston Martin Racing fielded its largest ever works team of up to five Vantage GTEs in the World Endurance Championship and won nine of a possible 16 races in the series. Aston Martin Racing's customers also made a further 500 race starts in 2013, with its Vantage GT3 winning the British GT Championship in the hands of Beechdean Motorsport.

In 2014, Prodrive is looking to expand its activities in the US-based Global Rallycross Championship (GRC) and enter the new FIA World Rallycross Championship, with the new MINI RX, which proved its competitiveness this year. The company is also looking to move into new motorsport series, including Dakar and Formula E.

"These are exciting times for the business," said Gaw. "We already have confirmed programmes in 2014 for our Aston Martin Racing works and customer teams. You will see our customers running MINI rally cars in the WRC and national series and we should have rallycross programmes in the GRC and the new FIA championship. I would also like to see us running cars in the new Formula E championship, which I believe has a tremendous future, and to be competing in the Dakar, which is a natural progression given our 30 years of rallying experience."

Prodrive Motorsport is one of four businesses within the Prodrive Group, which also include Advanced Technology, Carbon Composites and Brand, which designs and distributes bespoke merchandise and accessory collections.
