Reigning WEC LMP2 champion team G-Drive Racing has announced that it will partner JOTA Sport in the upcoming season - and that French driver Nathanael Berthon will join the team.
The G-Drive entries were previously fielded by OAK Racing, but have now aligned with JOTA for the British squad's first full-time foray into WEC.
Berthon, 26, will race G-Drive's Oreca 05 alongside Roman Rusinov, with a third driver yet to be named.
The Frenchman, a one-time winner in the GP2 series, started the year as a Formula E driver for Team Aguri, but recently parted ways with the squad and has been replaced by Salvador Duran.
Berthon's CV in endurance racing consists of a number of LMP2 outings with Murphy Prototypes - including two European Le Mans Series podiums and a class fifth place in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
JOTA tie-in in ELMS
While the exact details of the partnership have yet to be disclosed, G-Drive has confirmed it will venture into ELMS alongside JOTA Sport.
JOTA's previously announced trio of Giedo van der Garde, Harry Tincknell and team boss Simon Dolan are now set to run under the G-Drive banner.
While G-Drive switches from Ligier to ORECA machinery for its 2016 WEC challenge, its new ELMS venture will see its drivers continue to pilot the venerable Gibson 015S.
