Ferrari and Porsche locked in head-to-head WEC Fan Survey battle

After three weeks of voting – and with over 45,000 fans worldwide voicing their opinion – the battle for the status of FIA World Endurance Championship fans’ favourite manufacturer remains neck and neck between two giants of the sport.

Fans were asked to name the top five manufacturers they would want to see competing in WEC in the future, and with over 158,000 individual votes cast the gap between Ferrari and Porsche at the top of the standings is less than 200 (0.13%).

Both marques have a rich history in the WEC, with Porsche winning multiple titles in LMP1 and one championship in GTE-Pro, with Ferrari a regular title-winner in both GTE classes. In the Le Mans 24 Hours, Porsche holds the record for outright wins at 19, with Ferrari in third place (behind Audi) on nine.

The prize of fans’ favourite will be revealed when analysis has been completed by industry experts Nielsen Sports. Results will be published in November at the final round of the WEC season, the Six Hours of Bahrain.

For now, any fans who haven’t yet voiced their opinion – and voted for their favourite manufacturers – can do so at

The survey closes next Tuesday, October 17, at midnight.
