Canal, Heinemeier Hansson complete Rebellion WEC line-up
Julien Canal and David Heinemeier Hansson will complete Rebellion Racing's driver line-up in the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The duo join the already confirmed Nicolas Prost, Mathias Beche, Nelson Piquet Jr and Bruno Senna in the team's line-up.
Rebellion will run two cars in the LMP2 class this year after having opted to step down from the LMP1-L class.
WEC rules state that all LMP2 crews must run at least one silver-rated driver, with Rebellion stating that the choice was a "strategic one".
Frenchman Canal, the 2015 FIA WEC LMP2 champion, will join Senna and Prost in the #31 car.
Heinemeier Hansson, a GTE Am WEC title winner with Aston Martin Racing in 2014, will drive alongside Beche and Piquet in the #13 Oreca 07-Gibson.
"We are fortunate to benefit from a talented and experienced pool of drivers again this year. I'm convinced that they will all do a great job and work well together," said team manager Bart Hayden.
