Audi's Muller joins G-Drive for Shanghai WEC race
Audi DTM regular Nico Muller will make his FIA World Endurance Championship debut next month in Shanghai with the G-Drive Racing LMP2 squad.
Muller, who has also raced in the Blancpain GT Series and in World Rallycross this year alongside his DTM commitments, joins Pierre Thiriet and Roman Rusinov in G-Drive's #26 Oreca 07 for the Shanghai race.
The Swiss driver takes the place of James Rossiter, who filled in for Alex Lynn last weekend in Fuji when the former GP2 race winner was unavailable due to Formula E testing commitments with DS Virgin Racing.
G-Drive announced shortly before the Fuji event that Lynn would not return to the team for the rest of the year.
The only other change from Fuji on the Shanghai entry list is at the Gulf Racing GTE Am team, which has recruited Saudi driver Khaled Al-Qubaisi to join Benjamin Barker and Nicholas Foster.
Al-Qubaisi takes the place filled by Mike Hedlund in Japan, the American having been drafted in to replace Michael Wainwright behind the wheel of the #86 Porsche 911.
