AF Corse Ferrari team aim for podium in Sao Paolo
The fourth seasonal event will be race, approaching the second half of the season.

SAO PAOLO, August 29th – Following the long break after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the FIA World Endurance Championship (Wec) comes back. At Sao Paolo (Brazil), next weekend the fourth seasonal event will be race, approaching the second half of the season. Three Ferrari 458 Italia lined up by AF Corse; in addition, the 8 Star Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia.
GTE Pro – Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni will be at the wheel of their 458
- 51 in the GTE Pro. Same category of the teammates Kamui Kobayashi and Toni Vilander in the AF Corse Ferrari 458 #71. In the chapionship standing, after three races, Fisichella-Bruni are fourh (56 points) in the “World Endurance Cup for GT Drivers”; Kobayashi and Vilander are in third position (57 points).
GTE Am – Jack Gerber, Marco Cioci and Matt Griffin, in their Ferrari 458 Italia #61, want a new great result in Brazil. After the amazing podium in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the trio can aim to the top spots of the championship. At present, they are sixth in the “FIA Endurance Trophy for GTE Am Drivers” (36 points) but with five event to race the top positions are possible.
At the wheel of the 8Star Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia #81, Enzo Potolicchio, Rui Aguas and Davide Rigon; Potolicchio and Aguas are high performers from the very beginning in the Wec (they have the fourth position in the “FIA Endurance Trophy for GTE Am Drivers” on 56 points), Rigon make his debut in the 458 #81. In the GTE Am team standing, 8 Star Motorsports is third (56 points).
In the GT Manufactures championship, Ferrari is second on 116 points, one less than the leader. AF Corse is third and fourth in the GTE Pro Team standing (60 and 56 points); in GTE Am, the Italian team is sixth (46 points, 20 behind the leader).
