Michela Cerruti will enter the 2015 VLN Endurance Championship with BMW, joining the Walkenhorst Motorsport team.
The Italian, who announced she was leaving the Trulli Formula E team earlier this month, will also compete in the Nurburgring 24 Hours.
Cerruti will drive a BMW Z4 GT3 alongside John Edwards and Filipe Laser.
"I am delighted to line up for this new challenge," Cerruti said. "The Nordschleife is tough, but it is also the world's most incredible racetrack and taking part in the 24-hour race there is a dream come true for me.
"I know how strong and experienced Edwards and Laser are, and being able to rely on their experience race after race will be key.
"In terms of my career, this season will mark an important step towards professionalism and I am proud to join the BMW Motorsport program."
