In 1924 a challenge was given J.G Parry Thomas in his 135mph 1922 Leyland–Thomas Special to Frenchman Rene Thomas in his 143mph 1923 Delage DHV12. The 4 lap duel at Brooklands never happened, but these two World Land Speed legends will battle it out at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed.
