Duane Matejka, #1 '62 Volvo P1800 - First Place Volvo Feature Race - "It ran well, but we had a little problem Thursday in the test day. We went to Elmira and a machine shop down there helped us out and put it back together again. It's still not totally right; we did back up at the end, but we had a pretty good lead and it held through. It feels terrific to win on the Volvo featured weekend. It's the best for Volvo and us. I've raced many times here. I grew up in Horseheads and started racing here in 1975."
John Parker, #77 '67 Volvo P1800 - Second Place Volvo Feature Race - "It went ok. The 122's, particularly Patty Alspaugh pushed me. It was a good race. We lost second gear later on. It was a great race and a lot of fun. This car has been racing vintage here for 13 years and this is one of my favorite tracks."
Rich Kusher, #8 '63 Volvo 122 -- Third Place Volvo Feature Race - "I was pretty satisfied. I was getting a little loose at the end of the race, but it was great to have good close competition like we had. It was a lot of fun. We diced back and forth quite a few times. It was a lot of fun back through some of the corners and such. It was an awful rewarding race. I was glad to be third. I run the SCCA Volvo Vintage Series and I've come in 2nd in both 1999 and 2000 and Watkins Glen feels like my home track."
