WPS RACING PLEAD GUILTY TO BREACH OF INTIMIDATION RULES

WPS Racing has pleaded guilty to a breach of rules, use of abusive words, during an incident at round two of the V8 Supercar Championship Series at Pukekohe in New Zealand. CAMS Stewards have imposed a penalty of a fine of $11,250 following an investigation by the Investigating and Prosecuting Officer last week.

Mr Craig Gore, WPS Racing team owner, was charged with a breach of rule 6.5.13, Intimidation and Threats, of the AVESCO Operations Manual which states that a 'person must not by words, acts or omissions abuse, intimidate or threaten any other person'.

WPS Racing admitted to the breach and accepted the penalty.
