BRIGHT OUTLOOK FOR WINTON
Ten visits to Winton have brought five podium finishes for Jason Bright, who returns to one of his most successful V8 Supercar circuits this weekend.
The Trading Post Racing driver finished in the top three in both Holdens and Fords during 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 and is now looking to complete development of his BJR Commodore and add to that tally.
The weekend will once again see the use of soft tyres during qualifying and both races, with practice beginning at 10.55am this Friday.

"I don't mind Winton; it's quite a difficult little circuit. It's very technical, because the curbs are quite aggressive so you end up with a narrow racing line and need to be very precise and have a car that's very precise.
"I've had a pretty good run there in the past partly because, like Queensland, it's a track that I know very well through the testing miles we do.
"I got FPR's first pole position there in 2006 after developing the car for one year. I certainly don't think it's going to take as long as that with BJR because we've started with a much better base and I'm seeing certain areas that have brought vast improvements already. I'm really enjoying seeing all of the pieces come together that turn both the car and a team into a competitive operation.
"I think our car is getting there; we're not there yet but we've certainly got a few things to continue trying at Winton and I'm confident Winton will suit us very well."
"Like all team owners I want to get to the end quickly; I want the team to gel and start winning races but I've been around racing all my life and know it's not possible to cut corners. It takes time for the pieces to fall into place but when they do you know you're going to get results. I know that's going to be the case with us."
