Longhurst and Wilson set to take on Winton.
Team Betta Electrical V8 Supercar drivers, Tony Longhurst and Max Wilson are both well prepared to take on Winton Raceway this weekend, confident with the knowledge that both their AU Falcons performed well at recent testing at Queensland Raceway.
The pair found extra pace and improved handling from the Team Betta Electrical Falcons.
Max Wilson was concerned initially with the injury sustained to his hand after an accident in the last round at Oran Park, however he is now confident the injury will have mended come the weekend's racing.
Max will have to bring himself up to speed with the Winton circuit, as he has had to do with all of the circuits in the series to date, having never raced on any of the thirteen circuits in the series.
Wilson commented, it will be difficult to be competitive with many of the other teams that use Winton as their home test circuit, they know it intimately and have the right set up for their cars instantly, whereas we will have to spend time setting ours up for this unfamiliar circuit.
I guess will have a similar advantage with the next round at Queensland Raceway with the VIP Pet foods Queensland 500, as this is our home circuit for testing, he said.
Tony Longhurst is fired up for this weekends round, I enjoy racing at Winton and feel quite positive in increasing my points position in the series even further this weekend, said Tony.
The cars have improved in both performance and handling since Oran Park and the Team Members have worked tirelessly to achieve this improvement for Winton. It is very encouraging to experience the improvements found in car 66 with each round of the series, said Tony.
The Team will be pulling out all stops for a podium finish this weekend.
For Team Betta Electrical fans, both Tony and Max will be appearing at the AVESCO Autograph signing function at Benalla on Friday evening between 5.00 pm and 6.00pm, where both drivers will be autographing merchandise and posters for their many fans.
