Triple Eight Race Engineering announced today that Max Wilson would conclude his driving contract with Team Betta Electrical at the end of the 2004 V8 Supercar Championship.

Max has played an important role in the development of Team Betta Electrical during 2004 and will drive the # 888 car at Eastern Creek in Round 13 this coming weekend.

"I have enjoyed racing the Betta Electrical Falcon, this year, as the team has built momentum in terms of engineering and race technology. I have a number of different projects currently under way and quite a few interesting options for the future," said Wilson.

"We would like to thank Max for his contribution in 2004 and wish him well for the future. We are looking forward to a great result at Eastern Creek to finish off the year," said Triple Eight Race Engineering Managing Director, Roland Dane.

"As a racing driver he has shown strong skills that has made him so competitive in such a demanding Championship series. His involvement in providing ongoing feedback to our technical engineers during our current development period has been terrific, providing constructive and intuitive advice that only an experienced test driver can provide."

The team is soon to announce a new driver to support Craig Lowndes in the 2005 Championship Series.
