David Wall press release
Tough Weekend for Wall in V8 Main Game
David Wall and Fair Dinkum Sheds Racing regular Karl Reindler, have had a tough weekend with a broken exhaust ruining their race in the opening stages of the L&H 500 at Phillip Island.
David was reunited with Brad Jones Racing this weekend after a strong performance at Phillip Island and Bathurst last year with Karl and was hoping for a good run.
“We struggled early in the weekend, but we were happy with how the car felt at the end of the warm up session this morning,” said David after the race.
“Unfortunately the exhaust broke early on and forced us into the garage to repair it. This meant we lost more than ten laps to the rest of the field and were effectively out of the race.
“We didn’t give up though. After making a change to the roll centre in my first pit stop the car had really come alive – we were looking really good for the rest of the race.
“It has been a really difficult weekend, but there have been quite a few positives for us going into Bathurst.
“We had a great run there last year and I hope we will be able to bounce back again!”
David is racing this year thanks to the continued support of Paynter Dixon, Wilson Security, Shannons and Mount Aqua.
The next round for David will be the big one – the Bathurst 1000 in three weeks.
David will again pair up with Karl in the Fair Dinkum Sheds Racing V8 for the Bathurst 1000, but he will also return to the Wilson Security Racing Fujitsu V8 Supercar and continue his championship battle.
