MCNALLY PUSHES IN V8 UTES PRACTICE AT SYMMONS PLAINS

Glenn McNally got his first view of Tasmania's Symmons Plains Raceway when he hit the track for practice where he gained some strong lap times in what is set to be a key round of the series.

After claiming his first category race win at Winton just a few weeks Glenn is on a high and ready to push further up the field at every outing.

"It was such a good moment when I won at Winton," Glenn said.

"Unfortunately the next race is here and I have to do it all again."

In his first drive on the circuit Glenn performed well in Practice 1 where he was tenth fastest on the short Tasmanian circuit.

"The track was quite interesting; I think we will have a lot of fun here this weekend."

Glenn viewed his in-car footage after the session along with an overlay of his laps compared to others from his team in order to go faster in Practice 2.

In Practice 2 Glenn went faster again as he adapted to the heavy braking and flowing sweepers of the circuit. Although it was faster it placed him 11th in the order for the session and gave some good feedback for tomorrow's qualifying session.

"We were the fifth fastest Holden today," Glenn said.

"It was a good start for my first trip here and we have a few changes to make for tomorrow which should improve out times a bit."

Glenn has qualifying and race 1 tomorrow with race 2 and 3 on Sunday.
